Policy Statement

CRGI Solutions acts as a designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. We are committed to fulfilling our designer duties by eliminating foreseeable risks through design, reducing residual risks, and communicating significant remaining risks to those who need the information.

Key Requirements

  1. All design engineers shall be aware of and comply with their duties as designers under CDM 2015 Regulation 9.
  2. When preparing or modifying designs, staff shall consider foreseeable risks to the health and safety of those who will construct, use, maintain, clean, or demolish the structure.
  3. Hazards shall be eliminated through design where reasonably practicable; where not, risks shall be reduced through design choices.
  4. Information about significant residual risks shall be included in design outputs (drawings, specifications, reports) to enable other duty holders to manage those risks.
  5. Design reviews shall include CDM considerations as a standard agenda item.
  6. Cooperation shall be maintained with principal designers, contractors, and other duty holders on multi-designer projects.
  7. Staff engaged in design work shall have the necessary skills, knowledge, experience, and organisational capability for the work they undertake.
