Policy Statement¶
CRGI Solutions shall manage the risks associated with display screen equipment (DSE) use to protect the health of all staff. As a virtual consultancy where all work is performed via computer, DSE risk management is a primary health consideration.
Key Requirements¶
- All staff who habitually use DSE as a significant part of their normal work shall be classified as DSE users.
- DSE self-assessments shall be completed by all staff before commencing work and reviewed annually or when workstation setup changes.
- Identified risks from DSE assessments shall be addressed to reduce them to the lowest reasonably practicable level.
- Staff shall be provided with guidance on correct workstation setup, posture, and the importance of regular breaks.
- Eye and eyesight tests shall be provided on request to DSE users; where tests identify a need for corrective appliances specifically for DSE work, CRGI Solutions shall contribute to the cost.
- Screen breaks shall be taken regularly — staff should aim to break from continuous screen work at least every hour.
- DSE-related discomfort, pain, or health concerns shall be reported to the Operations Manager for assessment and action.
