Policy Statement¶
CRGI Solutions operates as a virtual engineering consultancy. All staff access centralised host computers at the CEO premises via Splashtop remote desktop technology, working from their own locations. This policy establishes the HSQE requirements for this operating model.
Key Requirements¶
- All engineering work shall be performed via Splashtop remote access to CRGI host computers; local storage of client data is prohibited.
- Staff shall complete a DSE self-assessment of their home workstation before commencing work and annually thereafter.
- The home working environment shall provide adequate lighting, heating, ventilation, and a suitable workstation setup.
- Staff shall take regular screen breaks in accordance with DSE guidance.
- IT security requirements for virtual operations are managed under the ISMS (isms.crgi.uk) and must be complied with.
- Staff shall report any issues with remote access, equipment, or their working environment that could affect the quality or safety of their work.
- Lone working risks associated with virtual operations shall be assessed and managed.
- Staff wellbeing shall be actively monitored, with regular check-ins to address isolation, stress, or other concerns arising from remote working.
