Policy Statement¶
CRGI Solutions shall manage manual handling risks to prevent musculoskeletal injury. As a virtual consultancy, manual handling activities are limited but may arise during client site visits, equipment transport, and 3D scanning activities.
Key Requirements¶
- Manual handling activities shall be avoided where reasonably practicable through design of work or use of mechanical aids.
- Where manual handling cannot be avoided, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment shall be carried out.
- Staff who may undertake manual handling activities shall receive appropriate training.
- Manual handling risk assessments shall consider the task, the load, the working environment, and individual capability.
- Equipment used to reduce manual handling risks (trolleys, lifting aids) shall be maintained in good condition.
- Manual handling injuries or concerns shall be reported and investigated through the incident reporting process.
