Policy Statement¶
CRGI Solutions shall provide appropriate personal protective equipment to all staff required to undertake site-based activities. PPE is the last resort in the hierarchy of controls and shall only be relied upon where risks cannot be adequately controlled by other means.
Key Requirements¶
- PPE requirements shall be determined by risk assessment before any site activity commences.
- PPE shall be provided free of charge, be CE/UKCA marked, and comply with relevant EN/BS standards.
- Minimum PPE for client site visits shall include: safety footwear (EN ISO 20345), hard hat (EN 397) where required, high-visibility clothing (EN ISO 20471), and safety glasses (EN 166) where required.
- Additional PPE shall be provided based on site-specific risk assessments and client requirements.
- Staff shall be trained in the correct selection, use, care, storage, and limitations of PPE issued to them.
- PPE shall be inspected before each use; damaged or worn items shall be reported and replaced promptly.
- PPE inventory and issue records shall be maintained.
