Policy Statement¶
CRGI Solutions recognises that fatigue can impair judgement, reduce concentration, and increase the risk of errors in safety-critical engineering design work. We are committed to managing fatigue risks through reasonable working hours, adequate rest, and individual responsibility.
Key Requirements¶
- Staff shall not routinely work excessive hours that could lead to fatigue-related impairment.
- Adequate rest breaks shall be taken during the working day, including screen breaks in line with DSE guidance.
- Staff shall inform the Operations Manager if workload, deadlines, or personal circumstances are causing fatigue that may affect their work.
- The Operations Manager shall monitor workload distribution and take action where fatigue risks are identified.
- Driving to and from client sites shall be planned to avoid fatigue, with overnight accommodation arranged where journey times are excessive.
- Fatigue awareness shall be included in toolbox talks and induction training.
